The XuhuaiFu Expressway is a key construction project of Anhui Province's "14th Five-Year Plan" and serves as an important transportation artery connecting Xuzhou, Huaibei, and Fuyang. The line has a total length of approximately 155.8 km, with a total investment of approximately 20.842 billion yuan, and passes through cities such as Fuyang, Bozhou, Suzhou, and Huaibei within Anhui Province.
As an important component of Anhui Province's "Five Vertical and Ten Horizontal" expressway network, its Huaibei and Suzhou sections officially opened to traffic on July 10. These two sections, with a total length of 72.07 km, start at Shengquan Town on the Anhui-Jiangsu provincial border, connect five major towns in Xiao County, cross the Lianhuo Expressway to link with Huaibei, and finally connect to the Yanluo Expressway at the Linhuan Interchange. Since opening, they have significantly enhanced the overall traffic efficiency of the regional road network and greatly reduced the space-time distance between Huaibei, Xuzhou and Fuyang.
The Fuyang section, with a total length of 49 km, is expected to be completed and opened to traffic by the end of September. The Bozhou section, approximately 35.92 km long, is steadily advancing in construction. The entire project is constructed according to a dual four-lane standard, with a roadbed width of 27 meters and a design speed of 120 km/h. Its completion is of great significance for improving the regional expressway network layout and promoting the accelerated integration of the Northern Anhui (Wanbei) region into the Yangtze River Delta integrated development framework.
